We are very sad to inform everyone that NBLA’s Frost on the Pumpkin Hunter Pace is cancelled. NBLA prides itself on being a good steward of the land. With the forecast of heavy rain on Saturday and continuing rainy weather through Monday, extensive damage would occur to the trails. Entry fees will be refunded upon your request. We are not rescheduling this Fall due to the continuing wet conditions and event conflicts. We thank everyone who supports the Pace and hop to see you in the Spring.
Below are the links to the 2018 Hunter Pace Program Book. The book is filled with information about NBLA along with ads and messages from our many wonderful supporters. We hope you enjoy looking through it and please mention to any of our advertisers that you saw their ad in the NBLA Pace Program Book.

MOUNT NEBO ROAD
Newtown Bridle Lands Association is excited to announce our 40th Annual Frost On The Pumpkin Hunter Pace in Newtown on Sunday, October 28th. We are planning a fabulous hunter pace on a beautiful course followed by a Pace luncheon with delicious food from Tambascio’s Restaurant. There will be live music, vendors with tack and other items. Of course we will have our annual costume competition with awards for the best costumes. We also have a PeeWee award for the youngest rider and a Jack Benny award for the oldest horse and rider pair. First place winners in each division will receive a gift bucket and saddle pad. Ribbons will be awarded to ten places in each division. Please join us for a day of fun with great trails to ride, great horses and great people! Please download the 2018 Pace Registration Form
Our trail course for the FROST ON THE PUMPKIN PACE is approximately 7-9 miles. It runs through various terrains… open fields on mowed paths, wooded trails, scenic views which showcase the fall foliage and a lake. We even travel through a “haunted forest”. Our pace is very different than most because the course runs through the entire town (due to the generosity of landowners allowing us to pass through) and not just limited to a specific area of land.
There is a required rest stop where refreshments are served to both horse and rider!
Whether you are riding in costume or just enjoying looking at those who do, enjoy this very unique pace.
Hope to see you at the Hunter Pace and thank you for supporting NBLA!
The Frost on the Pumpkin Hunter Pace is the major fundraiser for NBLA and keeps us operating to preserve trails and open space and provide an organization for local area enthusiasts. One of our major sources of Pace income is the space we sell in our Hunter Pace Program Book. It is a great place to advertise your local or horse-related business – or send words of encouragement to a participant or friend.
